From hiking to biking to climbing in a high ropes course, what would you like?

Take the Kanzelbahn up to the heights and then enjoy extended hikes with interesting destinations and fantastic views. 24km hiking network, Nordic walking track and mountain bike trails invite you to experience nature and the mountains. See from Villach, Feldkirchen over the Wörther See to Klagenfurt, yes and with a clear view even the castle Hochosterwitz is visible with the naked eye. The mighty mountain ranges of the Karavanke and Julian Alps, which form the natural borders with our neighbors Slovenia and Italy, will inspire you.

Our beautiful Lower Carinthian lake landscape, amidst deep green forests and meadows, lies at your feet. The Großglockner can also be seen with a view to the west.

For mountain bikers, the Gerlitzen is a special challenge. Due to the many access routes, there are various requirements for fitness and skill. In any case, after a proper refreshment in our summit house, the descent is a long experience.

But that’s not all, find your personal strength spot or complete your individual altitude training on the Gerlitzen, there are no limits to the possibilities to spend your free time with us.

Model flight

No matter where the wind comes from, with us model flight is possible in any direction.

Our Gerlitzen with its 1911m above sea level has become a well-known model flight “El Dorado” in recent years. The level of awareness does not come by chance. After all, Gerlizten is known for its special termics and its excellent flying and landing terrain. Due to the ideal slopes directly in front of our front door, model flight is possible in every direction and our soft alpine soil is available for every landing possibility.

Of course, there is a frequency board and the large tinkering room with well thought-out storage and shelves, as well as power connections for battery charging, is available to our model aviation friends free of charge! We have also specialized in this target group and our half board price includes a rich “farmer’s breakfast buffet” and a 3-course evening menu to our beautiful comfort rooms with SAT-TV and W-LAN. The approach is possible directly via the toll road to our house. A spacious parking lot is available.

Alpe Adria Trail

Our summit house is located directly on the Alpe Adria Trail and is also a stage section of this beautiful long-distance hiking tour.
